Direct Services & In-Home Parent Education

This is a countywide voluntary child abuse prevention program. Referrals come from the Department of Social Services to help families who may be struggling to meet their family's basic needs, maintain a stable, safe and healthy environment for their children, and/or who may need parenting education. Educator/Advocates assist families with services such as: in-home parenting sessions, assistance with food, clothing and resources for shelter, beds or cribs for children, household cleaning and hygiene products, appliances, and minor home repairs to keep children safe and healthy, as well as assistance with resources and referrals to other community and county programs. Our mission is to strengthen and support families and help prevent child abuse & neglect in San Luis Obispo County.
