Migrant and Seasonal Head Start program operates centers, which serve as full day child care programs for children from 0 to 5 years in Fresno, Kern, Monterey, Orange, San Benito, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura.

Migrant and Seasonal Head Start is a comprehensive child development program that operates on the principle that the first five years of a child's life are the most crucial in the learning process. The Migrant and Seasonal Head Start program provides a preschool program to meet the emotional, health, nutritional and psychological needs of the child and family. The objectives of the program involve these seven components: Education, Disabilities, Health, Nutrition, Mental Health, Parent Involvement and Social Services. These components are interconnected to provide quality services to the children and families in the program.

The program also makes available 10 % of its enrollment for disabled children. Disabled children and their families receive the full range of developmental services within a supportive learning environment.

The Migrant and Seasonal Head Start program also operates a Family Child Care Program which provides services for infants 0 - 2 years of age in a day care home with contracted providers. We currently have family child care homes in Kern, Monterey, Orange, San Benito, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties.
