Adult Day Services

Supporting independence in a quality, caring environment

Who are we?

EOC's Adult Day Services Program is comprised of two complementary programs: the Adult Social Day Program and the Alzheimer's Day Care and Resource Center. We serve the elderly who need a caring and supportive environment. Socialization and enrichment services are part of a social (non-medical) licensed adult day program.

All activities are designed to stimulate the cognitive abilities and maintain or improve the physical functioning of older adults, so they may remain independent as long as possible. The program includes services and support to persons with moderate to severe Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. Respite, training and support services are provided to families and community caregivers.

What Do We Do?

Those attending the program are encouraged to participate in a variety of enjoyable and purposeful activities and projects. Activities include: exercise and movement classes, cooking and gardening groups, singalongs, storytelling, dancing, walks, current events discussions, reminiscing sessions, a wide variety of games, arts and crafts classes, and field trips. Community volunteers provide caring companionship, special entertainment, pet therapy, and quiet conversation. In addition, a light breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided daily.
